Before the launch of the initiative, many individuals across Egypt’s governorates lacked the essential digital skills required for professional growth and effective use of online platforms. This digital gap limited their ability to engage in areas such as e-commerce, online services, and e-government applications.
This course introduces learners to the fundamentals of digital government systems and how technology is transforming public services. Participants will explore how governments deliver services online, the benefits of e-government for citizens and businesses, and best practices for ensuring security and accessibility.
Show MoreThe Egypt Online Initiative is a nationwide program designed to enhance digital literacy by combining in-class training with online professional courses. It equips participants with essential and advanced skills to use technology in education, business, and e-government services.
The program is open to individuals across all Egyptian governorates who wish to develop their digital skills, whether for personal use, professional growth, or entrepreneurship.
Participants start with fundamental training on Windows, Office, and Internet in accredited training centers. They then study 13 online courses covering:
Website design and development
Online transactions and e-commerce
Cybersecurity basics
E-government services
Professional use of digital tools
Yes. Each participant completes an exam after training. Successful candidates receive certification proving their digital competency.
Improved digital literacy and confidence in using technology.
Professional skills in e-commerce, e-services, and online communication.
Certification that supports employability.
Access to government and private sector opportunities that require digital readiness.
The initiative has successfully trained 5,000 participants and conducted 5,000 exams across Egypt.
