Before the launch of the initiative, many individuals across Egypt’s governorates lacked the essential digital skills required for professional growth and effective use of online platforms. This digital gap limited their ability to engage in areas such as e-commerce, online services, and e-government applications.

The Egypt Online Initiative was implemented in collaboration with NEN, offering a blended training model. Trainees first studied Windows, Office, and Internet at accredited training centers, then continued with 13 online professional courses covering advanced digital skills, website design, online transactions, and e-government services.
The initiative successfully trained 5,000 participants and conducted 5,000 exams, generating a revenue of $111,000. Beyond the financial outcome, the project bridged a critical digital skills gap, empowering thousands to professionally utilize technology and actively participate in Egypt’s digital transformation.
